English Methods for Specific Purposes

1. Introduction\nThe audience of our slope for Occupational Purposes (EOP) Project was a 19-year-old male who is truely a student from the Control commission engine room Program at Universidad Diego Portales (Santiago). This plan marks to form professionals who argon fit to manage entirely control mechanisms in a company, as well as to plan and supervise activities oriented to define and evaluate the varied utility centers present in it, which watchs them able to decease in both national and supranational companies.\nTo prepare its students for their professional future, the program has six courses of English in its curriculum, being English 3 our students modern take. Taking into account the beget of the Control Management Engineering program and our students aim of English, our project has both main objectives: the first wholeness is to improve those acquirements that our student require to fulfill the previously menti wizardd aim of his program; and the second one is to enrich those skills that will make our student able to complete as well as possible in his current English 3 course.\nIn order to make our interpellation as successful as possible, we and our student arranged an easy meeting with two purposes: to sack out what skills he has already worked on in the English courses he has taken so far, and to beget out how they have been worked on. This way, we were able to have an idea of the skills that are given more stress in the program and the caseful of activities they have to do to evoke them.\nThe instruments we applied (interview and questionnaire) gave a draw in picture of his current situations regarding his level of English. He told us that the teaching of productive skill pen and speaking- is an immediate and delayed occupy of our pupil.
