My mother, who was very devoted to Our Lady, was on her ninth pilgrimage to Lourdes. We were at a morning Mass that was being range at the grotto. The grotto surrounds the place where the spring was dug by St. Bernadette at the direction of the Virgin Mary herself . There is a beautiful statue showing the likeness of The Virgin Mary. There are crutches hanging that were left by those cured. When suddenly out of nowhere ii blank doves came to rest on either spot of the crucifix. The crucifix was behind beat Leon who was leading the service that day. These two doves remained perfectly still. They never fluttered a feather or sort out the smallest of sounds. The beautiful clean-living birds remained that way for about 30 minutes. When take Leon closed the mass by saying, The Mass has ended, go in peace, The doves flew off as quickly and as quietly as they had arrived. I believe in my heart that the Holy heart and soul was with us at Mass that morning. Tomlinson pg.2 The stinkerdlelight vigil is an grand sight to behold. Thousands of volume, some in wheelchairs, some on stretchers, and others can even be seen walking with crutches. They gather at darken in front of the beautiful basilica.
